Keanu, Matt & Tanner through to second round in Manly

FOX pro Surfers Keanu Asing(HAW) and Matt-Lewis Hewitt(NZL) are both through to the second round at the Australian Open of Surfing.
Keanu put in one of the highest heats scores so far today starting with a 5.83 and following it up with a huge 9.00 score.

Matt-Lewis Hewitt lead the entire heat only to be knocked out of the number one spot in the dying seconds, but matt still moves through to the next round.

Tanner Hendrickson(HAW) has stolen second spot to progress into the next round with less than 30 seconds to go in his heat with a stellar final wave. Tanner finished his heat with a 6.67 along with a 6.07 to finish on 12.74.

Matt will be in heat 18 of round 2 and Keanu and tanner will be facing off against one another in heat 21 of round 2.
Mens round 2 will kick off this afternoon and follow on tomorrow morning at 8am.
